Description
The Channelview Fire Department will be accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic or Paramedic assigned to the EMS Division. Requirements
To obtain employment an applicant must meet the following criteria at the time the application is submitted:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 Years of age
- TCFP Basic Firefighter certification and/or TDSHS Paramedic Certification (TCFP not required for EMS division).
- Shift: 48/96 (2 days on - 4 days off) - Three shift rotation (EMS I, II, & III)
- Starting Salary - $82,089.72 /year & after 1st year - $89,825.76/year *plus available overtime upon completion of FTO
- Average ambulance call volume = 5/day per ambulance
- No Social Security Withheld
- Paid Time-Off (PTO) Max accrual = 500hrs + 216hrs Comp Time
- Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS) 2:1 matching

- Next Level Urgent Care/Family Practice available to employee and family at no charge
- Uniform Stipend $450 annually
