Position Summary/Objective
The Sr. Process Engineer position is responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure the operation produces product that meets all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements. This position will design, develop, and implement continuous process improvements to meet goals established by the business/location, along with providing technical guidance to the plant operations teams to assist with process troubleshooting and developing corrective action plans.
Essential Functions
· Develops unique cable products and cable manufacturing processes
· Interacts with manufacturing in transferring new technologies and processes
· Supports marketing and sales with samples, technical data, written report and presentations
· Manages key development & processing projects
· Trains production personnel on new technologies and industry best practices
· Completes assigned projects in a timely manner by utilizing project management tools
· Investigates and develops new cable designs, materials, and processes
· Improves existing products and processes, and retain technology leadership in the industry for CCC
· Provides processing support to R&D, operations, sales & marketing.
· Evaluates and purchases materials, equipment and tooling for cable manufacturing and testing
· Creates and document manufacturing processes
· Analyzes competitors’ products
· Manages projects effectively, and meet project timeline and goals
· Acts as a cable expert companywide and provide support to the needs of the company staff
· This position is a cable technology expert.
· Provides technical support in Datacom cable design, application, testing and processing.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Occasional travel will be requested to other manufacturing facilities in Texas
Education and Experience:
All of the following:
· Requires a 4-year electrical or mechanical degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
· Wire and cable process and/or design experience.
Ideally, have wire and cable product experience
Will consider experience with extrusion if no wire and cable
Must have experience in a multi-shift 24-hour production environment
Experience or ability and desire to take 2 junior process engineers under your wing
Ability to extract information from a longtime incumbent and create complete documentation
Prefer experience working for companies with between $100M and $2B revenue
Excellent reputation as one of the most successful companies in the manufacturing of high-performance complex and advanced wire and cable assemblies.
