EPI Power is hiring an Administrative Assistant I to provide support to members of the EPI leadership team. The Administrative Assistant I plays a crucial role in keeping the business unit organized and running smoothly. This role will work out of the corporate office in Des Moines, IA. EPI Power, LLC ("EPI") is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers. What You'll Do:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to various departments as requested.
  • Prepare special reports, memoranda,letters of confidential nature, and routine correspondence on behalf of the business.
  • Assist in coordination and organization of company events such as meetings, travel, conferences, and department activities.
  • Plan and operate new hire orientation for EPI employees.
  • Responsible for ordering and storing office, break room, and express mail service supplies as requested or as needed.
  • Code invoices to the correct cost code.
  • Ensure the prompt scheduling of office equipment maintenance.
  • Set up and maintain a filing system that ensures easy and efficient retrieval of information.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience working in an administrative assistant equivalent role
  • Skills:
    • Extremely organized and comfortable multi-tasking
    • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
    • High level of professionalism and tact
    • Ability to proactively anticipate needs
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Desire to provide quality work in a timely manner
    • High level of confidentiality
  • Technology:
    • Strong experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
