Role Description The ECE Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role involves planning and delivering developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for young children, including literacy, numeracy, arts, and social-emotional learning. The teacher will observe and document children’s progress, maintain a safe and orderly classroom, and support positive behavior through guidance and modeling. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues, communicating regularly with families, preparing learning materials, and following all licensing, health, and safety regulations. The ECE Teacher is expected to participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as part of the broader school community.

Qualifications

• Strong early childhood education knowledge, including child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Experience planning and implementing engaging classroom activities and age-appropriate curriculum for preschool or early elementary children.
• Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children and respond to diverse needs with patience and empathy.
• Organizational skills to manage daily routines, documentation, lesson planning, and time-sensitive tasks.
• Commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including adherence to local and state childcare regulations.
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent ECE units as required by California licensing.
• Preferred: Prior experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning center in the San Francisco Bay Area or similar setting.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light classroom materials, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training, including CPR/First Aid certification as required.
