Job Description: 1. The Logistics Management Specialist 1 will build upon foundational support and will assume greater independence in coordinating logistics activities. They will independently manage transportation logistics for equipment, supplies, and materials, ensuring timely and efficient deployment. This mid-level position requires a higher level of expertise and experience in logistics management to ensure the efficient and effective distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials to support agency operations. 2. The contractor personnel will assist in demand forecasting to support inventory management and replenishment planning, helping to optimize stock levels. 3. The contractor personnel will collaborate with vendors and contractors to facilitate the timely delivery of goods and services, assisting in the solicitation of quotes and conducting market research to support procurement activities. Contributing to process improvement efforts, the contractor will assist in logistics audits, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and help track and reconcile purchase orders and procurement paperwork to support operational efficiency. Lead procurement activities, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships 8. Analyze data and trends to forecast demand and plan for future logistical needs 9. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on logistics performance and make recommendations for improvement.
