Job Description
As Rimrock Banff prepares to re-emerge as the first Emblems Collection retreat in North America, we are redefining luxury wellness,ย from movement and recovery to presence and care.ย
The Fitness & Wellness Host plays a key role in delivering a refined, safe, and welcoming wellness experience for both guests and members. This role is the steady, reassuring presence within our fitness and wellness spaces, ensuring facilities are pristine, operations run seamlessly, and every guest feels supported, confident, and cared for.ย
This position is not about performance or instruction,ย itโsย about precision, consistency, and ownership. You are a wellness ambassador who takes pride in the details, understands the importance of structure, and contributes quietly but meaningfully to the guest journey.ย

What You'll Be Doing
Guest Experience & Wellness Serviceย
- Greet all guests and members warmly, creating a calm, professional, and inclusive wellness environmentย
- Provide clear orientation to fitness and wellness facilities, including equipment use, safety guidelines, and wellness etiquetteย
- Maintain a visible, attentive presence on the fitness floor to ensure guest comfort, confidence, and safetyย
- Anticipate guest needs and respond thoughtfully to questions, requests, or concernsย
- Uphold Rimrock Banffโs luxury service standards, tone, and brand valuesย at all timesย
Facility Operations & Presentationย
- Ensure fitness centre, studio spaces, pool deck, and wellness areas are impeccably clean, organized, and inviting throughout operating hoursย
- Complete routine cleaning, sanitizing, resetting, and inspections of equipment and spacesย in accordance withย health and safety standardsย
- Monitor equipment condition and promptly report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortagesย
- Maintain inventory of towels, water, amenities, and wellness suppliesย
- Support daily opening and closing procedures, including checklists, logs, and operational standardsย
Safety & Complianceย
- Monitor guest activity to ensure safe andย appropriate useย of equipment and facilitiesย
- Enforce wellness and fitness policies with professionalism, discretion, and consistencyย
- Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies, following established safety and reporting protocolsย
- Maintain working knowledge of emergency procedures, first aid, and basic health and safety practicesย
Wellness Support & Collaborationย
- Assistย with wellness programming, classes, or special experiences asย requiredย
- Support Fitness & Wellness leadership with special projects, activations, or guest initiativesย
- Collaborate withย Front Office, Guest Services, Expeditions, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams to ensure a seamless guest journeyย
Qualifications
What You Bringย
- Previousย experience in fitness, wellness, hospitality, or guest-facing roles preferredย
- Proserveย certficationย requiredย
- Familiarity with fitness equipment and wellness environments is an assetย
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtainย
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, professional demeanorย
- Ability to remain attentive, service-focused, and composed in a structured environmentย
Bonus If You Bringย
- Familiarity with pool operations, hydrotherapy spaces, or outdoor wellness facilitiesย
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in fitness or aquatic environmentsย
- Interest in wellness as a lifestyle, including recovery, movement, and mindful livingย
- Experience supporting wellness activations,ย special events, or guest programmingย

Physical Demandsย
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftย
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning, sanitizing, and equipment resetting tasksย
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to approximately 25lbs (towels, supplies, light equipment)ย
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stoop asย requiredย toย maintainย facility standardsย
- Ability to work in warm, humid, and outdoor environments, including pool deck and hydrotherapy areasย
Visa Requirements:ย Must be legallyย authorizedย to work in Canada.ย
