Overview:
• Product called Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) from Informatica
• Team builds catalog to scan and profile all data in enterprise from app to app (about 600 or so)
• Team responsible for monthly releases
• Scanning and profiling of apps, working with data stewards to identify business terms.
• Current resource is black belt in Informatica EDC. Started out with just knowledge of data cataloging. New resource would be splitting work with this person. Need to have strong knowledge of data cataloging, Informatica EDC.
• Financial services industry experience not required.
• Scan date, profiling (frequency/similarity, metadata), to ingest data into the catalog
