Job description

Description:
  • Perform diagnostic tests on patient specimens in a Physician Office Laboratory: Conduct tests on automated Hematology, Chemistry, and Special Chemistry instruments.
  • Operate and maintain equipment: Calibrate, control and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments.
  • Analyze and interpret results: Review and accept patient results in a laboratory information system and alert providers to critical results.
  • Document and report: Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests, procedures, and results and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Conduct quality assurance and compliance procedures: Adhere to CLIA and OSHA guidelines, provide technical direction to other lab staff, perform and document quality control and corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Active Medical Laboratory Technician license.
  • B.S. degree in laboratory science or related field.
