Job description

EB Games has an exciting new opportunity available for a Graphic & Web Designer in our Head Office in Brampton, Ontario. As part of our Creative Services team, the Graphic & Web Designer is able to take concepts and ideas and create visual representations that communicate messages that inspire, inform and captivate. They are skilled in current design software and in every step of the design process. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, vendors and suppliers, the designer is able to take projects from concept to completion through both print and digital media. This includes, but is not limited to, research, communication, design and distribution.


The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Collaborating, brainstorming, and strategizing with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, emails, marketing materials, signage and internal communications;
  • Developing concepts by hand or with software, and executing original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout;
  • Managing the design, approval and uploading processes for all project materials, based on best practices and internal guidelines;
  • Working on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals;
  • Obtaining input from clients and managers to understand the scope and intention of a project and to ensure that designs meet expectations, organizational standards and brand consistency while expressing ideas accurately, and representing the company or client appropriately;
  • Working on multiple projects independently and effectively managing time and project constraints to meet deadlines from concept to completion;
  • Demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness and adapting to changes and feedback;
  • Examining existing processes, offering new ideas, and creating solutions that improve design capabilities;
  • Updating and maintaining internal databases for designs and assets as needed;


The skills and experience required for success in this role are:

  • Five years or more experience (academic and professional) with the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver;
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Desire to continue building upon existing and new skill sets to improve and excel.
