Position Overview

Down East Care Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Miami, Florida. This full-time position requires a licensed professional who is passionate about patient care and committed to delivering evidence-based therapy in a rehabilitation center setting. The successful candidate will earn an annual salary ranging between USD 100,000 and 120,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Down East Care Physical Therapy, you will:

  • Evaluate patients' needs through comprehensive assessments and initiate individualized treatment plans in accordance with physicians’ referrals.
  • Implement specialized therapy interventions that may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education tailored to each patient's unique conditions.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, noting improvements and modifying treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Encourage and empower patients and caregivers through education about techniques and coping strategies necessary for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Maintain an empathetic and positive patient experience while meeting or exceeding utilization goals and contributing to overall clinic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes individuals across various demographics presenting with orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with patients from recovery through to maintenance of physical health, ensuring they achieve their rehabilitation goals and can return to their daily lives as quickly and safely as possible.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • A valid state physical therapy license and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard software for documentation and reporting.
  • An ability to establish trusting relationships with patients and their families, ensuring they are supported throughout their healing journey.
Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program and are licensed by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
  • Experience working with a wide range of patients and disorders, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of treatment methodologies.
  • A current CPR certification.
