The Manager, IT Business Architect - SAP SD is central to our ERP transformation program. The SME will serve as the functional and architectural authority for the SAP SD - owning the module end-to-end, translating complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. The role will provide day-to-day support to the critical sales processes to ensure issues are resolved as a priority and there is no business impact. The role will be guiding Revvity through its SAP transition with precision and strategic foresight.

This role oversees the development, validation, implementation, and day-to-day performance of the SAP SD module. These activities are performed in compliance with industry regulations, site operating procedures, quality/safety policies and cost/processing time standards. The role will work closely with key stakeholders in Commercial, Operations, Trade Compliance and Finance functions. This person will be directly responsible for deliverables in this area including any upgrade, implementations, changes, rollouts, etc. that the organization decides on.

Day-to-Day Support Responsibilities

  • Assist end-users with SAP SD-related problems, troubleshoot issues, and provide quick solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Log, prioritize, and resolve support tickets related to sales, shipping, billing, and pricing functionalities.

  • Conduct testing for new functionalities, support patches/upgrades, and validate data accuracy post-implementation.

  • Monitor sales order processing, delivery, billing, and related workflows to ensure smooth operations.

  • Provide end-user training, update user manuals, and create documentation for new or modified processes.

  • Collaborate with MM, FI, CO, and WM modules to resolve inter-module issues impacting sales and distribution.

  • Assist in implementing minor enhancements, user exits, and custom reports to meet evolving business needs.

  • Regularly review system performance metrics and troubleshoot bottlenecks affecting SD processes.

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Architect end-to-end SAP SD solutions aligned with Revvity's complex global business requirements, ensuring scalability, compliance, and performance

  • Leadsolution design workshopswith business stakeholders, translating requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and configuration blueprints

  • Define thetarget-state architecturefor SD within the S/4HANA Private Cloud environment, including integration touchpoints with E4H and adjacent modules (MM, FI/CO, WM/EWM, PP) subject to project initiation.

  • Evaluate and recommendGreenfield, Brownfield, or Bluefieldmigration approaches based on business complexity, data quality, and transformation goals

  • Design and governSAP Fioriapplication strategy for SD user personas, ensuring intuitive UX aligned with SAP best practices (subject to project initiation).

ERP Transformation & Implementation

  • Lead and deliver34 full lifecycle SAP SD implementationsas the functional SME - from project initiation through go-live and hypercare

  • Drive theECC to S/4HANA migrationfor SD, including delta analysis, simplification item assessment, and business process re-engineering

  • Own thefit-gap analysisbetween current ECC processes and S/4HANA standard capabilities, recommending configurations or enhancements as appropriate

  • Ensure seamlessECC-GTS integration continuity

Configuration, Development & Governance

  • Perform and overseeSAP SD configurationacross the full module scope: Order Management, Pricing & Conditions, Billing, Credit Management, Shipping & Transportation, Intercompany, Revenue Recognition, and Returns/Complaints

  • Define and enforceconfiguration standards, naming conventions, and change management governanceacross the SD landscape

  • Collaborate with ABAP/technical teams to designcustom enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, and BDC (Batch Data Conversion)programs where standard configuration is insufficient

  • LeverageSAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)capabilities including Integration Suite, Extension Suite, and SAP Build to extend and integrate SD processes where applicable

  • Overseedata migration strategyfor SD master data (customer master, material master, pricing conditions, open orders) using LSMW, BAPI, or SAP Data Services

Stakeholder Engagement & Program Leadership

  • Act as theprimary functional liaisonbetween business stakeholders, IT leadership, and implementation partners for all SD

  • Facilitatebusiness process workshops, design reviews, and sign-off sessionswith regional and global process owners

  • Providefunctional leadership and mentoringto junior SAP SD consultants and business analysts on the program team

  • Prepare and presentsolution design documents, functional specifications, and executive-level status updatesto IT and business leadership

  • Supporttesting strategy and execution including SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing ensuring defect resolution and sign-off readiness

  • Contribute totraining material developmentand end-user enablement programs for SD processes

Post Go-Live & Continuous Improvement

  • Leadhypercare supportpost go-live, managing critical issue resolution and stabilization

  • Identify and drivecontinuous improvement opportunitieswithin the SD landscape, leveraging SAP innovations (e.g., Advanced ATP, Output Management, Intelligent Trade Claims)

  • MonitorSAP roadmap updatesand advise leadership on relevant new capabilities, deprecations, and upgrade impacts

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ yearsof hands-on SAP SD functional experience

  • 12+ years of mandatory SAP SD expertiseacross:

    • Order-to-Cash (OTC) process design and optimization

    • Pricing procedures, condition techniques, and revenue recognition

    • Shipping, transportation, and delivery processing

    • Billing, invoicing, and intercompany scenarios

    • Credit and risk management

    • Returns, complaints, and warranty processing

    • Integration with MM, FI/CO, WM/EWM, and PP modules

  • 10+ years SAP SDin a Subject Matter Expert or Solution Architect capacity; with 3-4 full end-to-end SAP SD implementationscompleted as the functional SME, from blueprint/design through go-live and hypercare

  • 10+ years SAP ECC- deep configuration and functional knowledge

  • 5-10+ years SAP Fiori- experience designing and deploying Fiori apps for SD user roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience across all three implementation methodologies:

    • Greenfield- new SAP implementations

    • Brownfield- system conversion / in-place upgrades

    • Bluefield- selective data transition / hybrid approach

  • Good understanding ofSAP ABAP(reading/debugging code, writing functional specs for custom development)

  • Experience withBDC, LSMW, BAPI, and IDocs for data migration and interfaces

  • Familiarity withSAP BTP(Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build) - hands-on experience is a strong advantage

  • Hands-on experience withSAP BTP Integration Suitefor SD process extensions

  • Exposure toSAP E4H (ERP for Healthcare/Life Sciences)or regulated industry ERP environments

  • Knowledge ofSAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)/ IFRS 15 compliance

  • SAP certification inSD is highly desirable

  • Experience working inglobal, multi-org, multi-currencySAP environments

  • Exceptionalanalytical and problem-solvingskills with the ability to decompose complex business scenarios into structured SAP solutions

  • Strongcommunication and stakeholder managementskills - able to present to both technical teams and C-suite executives

  • Proven ability tolead without authorityin a matrixed, global program environment

  • High degree ofownership and accountability- comfortable driving decisions in ambiguous situations

  • Collaborative mindset with experience working acrossonshore/offshoredelivery models

  • Experience inlife sciences, diagnostics, or medical deviceindustry SAP implementations is highly desired

The base salary range for this full-time position is $124,000 - $165,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
