Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

• Conducting comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and needs, guiding them towards appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that align with clients' goals while integrating evidence-based practices.
• Providing individual therapy sessions for adult clients utilizing solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and other evidence-based approaches.
• Leverage teletherapy to conduct virtual sessions in a manner that is engaging, professional, and responsive to clients' needs.
• Offering crisis intervention services when necessary to support clients during times of acute distress.
• Participating in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in mental health care and contributing to a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in virtual settings.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to effectively manage caseloads and client needs.

Preferred Experience

While mentorship and growth opportunities are provided, having prior experience in a similar role, especially with teletherapy or within community health settings, is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record systems (EHR) will also enhance your ability to streamline documentation and client management.
