At Steele Family Law, we are a small but growing law firm looking for a Family Law Attorney.

The position is full-time. Salary is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on experience and bar passage status. Depending on your needs, we offer health and vision insurance with an employer contribution.

We are looking to hire the right Family Law Attorney to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, be tech-savvy, loves working with children and families, and is excited to flourish personally and professionally.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $85,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Represent spouses, parents, and other individuals as their lawyer of record in family court actions
  • Represent the best interests of children in contested custody matters as a Guardian ad Litem
  • Conduct initial consultations with clients, evaluate the merits of their case, and provide sound advice on their best path forward
  • Draft pleadings, letters, and other court documents
  • Advocate for clients in hearings and mediations
  • Answer client questions and provide advice promptly
  • Maintain thorough records through the firmโ€™s case management system to ensureย everyone in the firm has access to the most up to date information regarding the case

Qualifications:
  • South Carolina Bar License or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
  • Completion of South Carolina Rule 403 trial observation requirements or ability to complete requirements within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent knowledge of basic office programs, computer software, and online applications, and willingness to learn project and case management software
