Job description

Objective of Job:
Conduct simple and complex tests on components/conduct cause analysis in problem cases.
Principal Activities:
  • Check the interaction of individual components and component groups to assure functionality.
  • View test plans and drawing documentation.
  • Identify and record any quality concerns.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to assure defect free quality. Conduct cause analysis and develop solutions in problem cases. (Root-cause analysis and problem solving methods)
  • Conducts first piece approvals where appropriate.
  • Sort out defective parts, taking into account DRX-specific requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors any problems with safety, quality, equipment, and/or productivity.
  • Support and maintain good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
  • Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
  • Maintain all appropriate quality records.
  • Perform audits and quality inspections.
  • Serve on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous improvement of quality.
  • Conduct and assist in re-work where appropriate.
  • Assist in defect tracking
  • Assist in the APQP process (ie. control plans, FMEA's, etc.)

Others:
  • Active participation in all company activities and programs (Quality, Ideas for Improvement, Training, Human Resources, Security, Environmental Health and Safety, etc.) which apply according to the proper activities of the position. And any other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to work night shift
