JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Assistant supports the Fairweather Science team with all project support and logistical tasks for the business and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of project activities, including scheduling, organization, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes.
  • Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting, ensuring expenses align with project goals.
  • Help prepare project presentations and reports.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support project initiatives and decision-making processes.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
  • Previous experience in a project coordination or administrative support role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with high proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Compensation:
  • Determined on employment based on skills and experience.
  • Range: $25 - $35 per hour.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than forty pounds.
