Job description
Responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to the restaurant's recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient kitchen operations by maintaining a clean workstation, completing prep work, and delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Complete daily food preparation and stocking of assigned stations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Ensure food is cooked and served accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages or equipment issues to management.
- Minimize food waste while maintaining portion control.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
