Job description

Applications will only be considered if submitted on our website: doersnetwork.org/internships

Doers Network is a conservative grassroots organization dedicated to identifying, endorsing, and supporting principled candidates who will actually get stuff done while strengthening Utah's conservative movement. We're looking for motivated college students who want hands-on experience in campaigns, public policy, political communications, and grassroots organizing.

This is a flexible, part-time internship designed for students interested in careers in politics, government, public policy, communications, or nonprofit leadership.

Internship Responsibilities

Projects vary throughout the year depending on the election cycle and legislative calendar.

For the fall semester responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting grassroots and voter engagement efforts
  • Assisting with candidate support projects
  • Planning political and community events
  • Writing blogs, email newsletters, and other communications
  • Completing additional projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current college student or recent graduate (preferred in Davis, Salt Lake, or Utah County)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Interest in politics, public policy, campaigns, or grassroots organizing
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Comfortable working in a conservative, partisan organization

Previous political experience is not required. We value curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience in Utah politics and conservative advocacy
  • Opportunities to work with candidates, elected officials, and political leaders
  • Mentorship from professionals with experience in federal, state, party, and campaign politics
  • Experience using tools such as NationBuilder, Monday.com, and Google Workspace
  • Portfolio-building opportunities through writing, research, communications, and event planning
  • Valuable networking opportunities within Utah's political community
  • Flexible, resume-building experience that prepares you for future internships and careers in politics

Internship Details

  • Part-time (approximately 5-10 hours per week depending on availability)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Remote, with occasional in-person events and meetings in Davis, Salt Lake, or Utah counties
  • Applications accepted on a rolling basis
  • Flexible start and end dates
