Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans that align with individual goals.
• Implement therapeutic techniques in one-on-one sessions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• Educate clients and their families on mental health management, coping strategies, and available resources, fostering a clear understanding of their treatment process.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of a client’s well-being are addressed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying abreast of current research and advancements in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds and present a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. This position requires not only a strong therapeutic skillset but also cultural competence and an empathetic approach to foster trust and engagement with clients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong understanding of various counseling techniques and therapeutic strategies.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling to diverse populations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans that are effective and client-centered.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $95,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
