Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students in a vibrant academic setting near Virginia Beach, VA. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to help students develop effective communication skills that set them up for lifelong success.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active or eligible state licensure as an SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
  • Previous experience providing speech therapy in K-12 schools is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and the special education evaluation process
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and identify communication disorders through standardized testing and observation
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique speech and language needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services within individual and group settings
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and related services
  • Partner with teachers, parents, and other support staff to maximize student outcomes
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, case conferences, and school-wide initiatives as a valued team member
