What You’ll Do

 

As a Director of Contract Enforcement, you’ll be managing the section of the DGA Contracts team which supports Directors of feature films. This will include oversight of contract enforcement, resolving complex, project-specific disputes and contributing to outreach campaigns on Directors economic and creative rights.


Responsibilities

  • Work with DGA contract staff in Los Angeles and New York
  • Coordinate with DGA Field Reps regarding on-set issues 
  • File contract grievances and handle settlement discussions
  • Support contract enforcement campaigns and other Director outreach 
  • Collaborate in implementing contract enforcement plan
  • Play a significant support role in collective bargaining negotiations
  • Performing other duties as assigned


What You’ll Need

 

  • Experience working in labor relations
  • Prior experience in contract enforcement, preferably collective bargaining agreements
  • Ability to work closely with a team 
  • Well-organized and self-motivated
  • Previous experience in union representation
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as required
  • Graduate degree preferred but not required
