Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Diamond Hearts, you will:

• Consult with patients to assess their physical conditions and understand their symptoms, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction, utilizing manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions to enhance mobility and function.

• Assist patients with mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring they are equipped to navigate their living spaces safely.

• Educate patients and their families about home-based treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role serves a diverse population, including both children and adults with a variety of diagnoses such as orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain. Your approach will be empathetic and tailored to meet the individual challenges each patient faces, optimizing their recovery and daily functionality.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution, alongside the following qualifications:

• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients and maintain clear documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills, crucial for updating patient records and treatment protocols.
