Job description

Diamond Insurance is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to join our growing team. This position is for an experienced claims professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional service while effectively managing complex workers' compensation claims from inception through closure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Illinois workers’ compensation claims management and other surrounding Midwestern states workers' compensation laws and regulations, along with proven experience handling litigated claims from start to finish.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of Illinois Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusting experience handling complex and litigated claims from inception to closure.
  • Proven experience managing workers' compensation claims directly.
  • Strong working knowledge of Illinois and other Midwestern states workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, customer-focused claims management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from initial reporting through final resolution and closure.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and manage complex and litigated claims in accordance with company standards and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Analyze medical, legal, and financial information to determine claim exposure and appropriate reserves.
  • Coordinate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely claim resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation, reports, and file notes.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while demonstrating empathy and professionalism throughout the claims process.
  • Effectively prioritize workload and manage deadlines in a remote work environment.

Preferred

  • Adjuster licenses in additional Midwestern states.
  • Multi-jurisdictional workers' compensation claims experience.
