The Radiologic Technologist will primarily perform DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scans for body composition and bone density assessments. This role involves preparing clients, operating DEXA imaging equipment, ensuring exceptional image quality, maintaining radiation safety standards, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

Unlike a traditional hospital environment, our focus is preventive health and wellness. The ideal candidate enjoys educating clients, working one-on-one with people, and being part of a collaborative, patient-centered team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality DEXA body composition and bone density scans according to established protocols.
• Position clients accurately to ensure precise and reproducible scan results.
• Verify patient information and maintain complete, accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow all radiation safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily quality assurance and routine maintenance of DEXA equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional testing environment.
• Explain scan procedures clearly and provide exceptional customer service throughout each appointment.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare providers, and the DexaFit team.

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and computer software.
• Passion for health, wellness, and preventive medicine.
