Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team at CareSync Healthcare Solutions. In this critical role, you will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement medical care for patients while collaborating closely with supervising physicians. You will function within the full scope of your licensure, ensuring that your assessment, coordination, and delivery of care are accountable and effective. Your responsibilities will encompass direct patient care, education for patients and their families, as well as supervising transitional care to ensure continuity throughout the medical continuum.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center located in the heart of Glen Cove. The facility is equipped with advanced technologies and supports a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient experiences and care delivery. Your schedule will comprise standard working hours from Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00 pm, providing you with stability and a predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and thoroughly review patients’ medical histories to ensure accurate assessments.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, interpreting results to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage diverse health conditions and illnesses in alignment with family medicine practices.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address chronic and infectious diseases effectively, ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient reactions, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to promote patient well-being.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient encounters, ensuring all documentation is accurate and organized for effective tracking and compliance with health regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventative measures, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their health outcomes.
• Manage overall health initiatives for patients, fostering a culture of wellness and preventive care.
• Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in primary care through ongoing professional development and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse group of patients within the surgical and primary care settings, focusing on family medicine. Our population ranges from pediatric to geriatric patients, allowing you to engage with and provide care tailored to various age groups and health conditions. You will play a crucial role in promoting and restoring health within this community by implementing best practices in patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or similar healthcare environment.
• Specialization in family medicine is highly preferred.
• Extensive clinical experience in primary care settings.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of health regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Exemplary communication skills to foster effective interactions with patients and healthcare teams.
• Commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude conducive to collaboration.
• Willingness to enhance clinical skills and knowledge continuously.
• Must possess a DEA number for prescribing medications.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have significant clinical experience within surgical settings or outpatient clinics, along with a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse patient caseload effectively. Exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous, facilitating efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience.
