Description
Credo is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable software systems for automated validation of 800G and 1.6T OSFP and QSFP-DD optical modules. You’ll architect lab automation frameworks, integrate advanced optical and electrical test equipment, and define the next-generation validation infrastructure that enables rapid deployment of Credo’s high-speed data center interconnect products.
Base salary range is $140,000 – $210,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Photonics.
- 8+ years of experience in test automation, instrumentation, or optical systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Hands-on experience with SCPI, PyVISA, and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with DCAs, VNAs, optical switches, and VOAs.
- Working knowledge of PAM4, signal integrity, and optical link budgets.
- Experience with QSFP-DD and OSFP modules at 400G, 800G, and 1.6T.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience automating Arista EOS, SONiC, or Cumulus Linux.
- Familiarity with IEEE 802.3 and OIF specifications.
- Experience with high-volume validation or manufacturing test systems.
