Job Description

Preventative Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planing.
Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays and perform intraoral screenings.
Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies, post-operative care, and nutritional counseling to maintain optimal health.
Clinical Support: Participate in instrument processing, sterilization, and strict infection control protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with Dr. Prather and the dental assisting team to provide comprehensive treatment planning.

Salary Range

Part-time $73,872 - $94,392 per year

Requirements

• Dentrix
• Eaglesoft
• Licensed dental hygienist
• Open Dental

Licensure: Valid Maryland State Dental Hygienist License (Required).
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix) and digital radiography.
Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuing education.
