Join our team at Delight Care as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works primarily within a home health agency setting, providing hands-on therapeutic care to our patients. This role supports specialized therapy areas such as geriatric and orthopedic therapy, delivering treatment as specify by a physical therapist. The PTA aids in improving patient mobility and function through tailored exercises and closely collaborates with supervising therapists to ensure effective recovery plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and assist with therapeutic exercises
• Support mobility and functional independence in home settings
• Assist with treatment planning and execution under therapist guidance
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients on therapy techniques and safety
• Monitor patient safety during therapy sessions
• Communicate effectively with supervising physical therapists and care team
• Maintain comprehensive and organized treatment records

Required Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• TX licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in physical therapy assistance
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Skilled in rehabilitation equipment operation
• Strong documentation and record keeping abilities
• Effective patient communication skills
• Ability to collaborate well within a care team
