Job description

This administrative assistant role supports the racing department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for efficient operation of office procedures within designated departments.
  • Provides administrative support to appropriate supervisor/manager; prepares reports as required.
  • Coordinates and disseminates communication and correspondence to department heads.
  • Assures accurate files and record keeping. Maintains record retention policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for weekly timekeeping, schedule verification and processing for team members in corresponding department(s).
  • Responsible for initiating the necessary documentation for status changes, information updates, etc. for team members in corresponding department(s).
  • Always maintain professionalism when working with and responding to team members and/or guests.
  • Able to communicate (both written and verbal) with all team members and levels of management.
  • Attends and records minutes for all meetings as requested.
  • Creating and ensuring a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • One (1) to Three (3) years administrative experience.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Workplace, Virtual Roster, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word Applications.
  • Must have strong organizational skills; accounting background preferred.
  • Attention to detail and high level of energy required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with team members, management and guests is mandatory.
  • Must be able to handle all types of team member/guest related situations; relay all team member compliments and complaints to department management.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and bend for extended periods of time without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
