Work Environment

This position allows you to work within a dynamic telehealth environment, giving you the flexibility to care for patients from the comfort of your own home and enhancing your work-life balance. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with options for both telemedicine and in-person consultations as needed. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health status, utilizing established diagnostic tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to inform individualized care plans.

• Continually monitor patient progress and adapt treatment strategies to enhance mental health outcomes, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment records and reports, to comply with regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with patients and their families to develop and implement holistic treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and goals.

• Coordinate referrals and act as a liaison between patients and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

• Engage in teaching and mentoring roles for interns and volunteers, contributing to the education and advancement of future mental health professionals.

• Participate in peer review and clinical collaboration initiatives aimed at fostering team development and quality improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and families, who may be dealing with a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your ability to understand and address the cultural diversity within our community will be paramount in developing effective treatment approaches.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Current LCSW license in the state of California.

• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.

• Proficiency in utilizing technology for telehealth services and clinical documentation.

• Physical capability to perform essential job duties, including the ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment, free from exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in telehealth service delivery and familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is advantageous. Candidates who exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting will be particularly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

Definite Behavioral Health offers a competitive compensation package, including an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000.
