Job description

Deepwater Crane Operator

A Deepwater Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining cranes on an offshore procurement platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Responsibilities
  • Operate levers and pedals to control the crane.
  • Follow hand signals to raise, lower, and rotate the boom or load.
  • Lift and move equipment or material on the platform and between boats in various sea conditions.
  • Maintain and clean crane equipment.
  • Provide leadership to construction riggers.
  • Conduct safety and operation inspections of the crane.
Qualifications
  • This position is to work on a deepwater production platform that is being decommissioned but has years of service from being completed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 or more years of prior offshore crane operating experience on a floating facility.
  • Crane Operator Certification.
  • Must be open to working/assisting other crafts on the platform when not completing lifts.
  • Previous experience operating Seatrax cranes preferred.
  • Deepwater operating experience preferred.
  • Mechanical experience or aptitude.
