POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Salesforce Developer supports a Salesforce Center of Innovation. You will own user access and permissions for a large enterprise org, manage sandbox environments, handle declarative configuration work, and take on development tasks as your skills grow.

This is a strong entry point for someone who knows Salesforce administration well and wants to move toward development. You will work alongside senior developers who review your work and hand you more ownership over time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Access and Platform Administration
  • Provision and deprovision users and maintain permission sets, permission set groups, profiles, and the role hierarchy across a large enterprise org.
  • Perform declarative configuration work including page layouts, record types, validation rules, and Flows.
  • Keep access documentation current so entitlement decisions can be audited and repeated.
Build
  • Build and modify Flows and other declarative automation to meet business requirements.
  • Write and maintain basic Apex and Lightning Web Component changes under the direction of senior developers.
  • Promote changes through source control and deployment pipelines using Git.
  • Manage sandbox environments, including refreshes, post-refresh configuration, test data seeding, and keeping lower environments aligned with production.
Solve
  • Resolve user and application support requests, and elevate complex issues with clear, complete diagnostic detail.
  • Troubleshoot access, configuration, and application issues and document findings for the application teams.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis on critical issues and help identify preventive fixes.
Learn and Grow
  • Work under the technical guidance of senior developers, with code and configuration reviewed before release.
  • Build toward Salesforce Platform Developer I certification with support from the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 years of relevant technical experience in enterprise IT, Salesforce administration, or application support.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of start.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
  • ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform.
  • Working familiarity with Salesforce CLI, VS Code with Salesforce extensions, Developer Console, GitLab, and scratch orgs.
  • Jira and Confluence.
  • Prior federal or public sector experience.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The team operates against contract service levels for acknowledgement, resolution, root cause analysis, and security incident response. Specific targets are reviewed during onboarding.

WORK LOCATION

Primarily remote within the contiguous United States. Occasional on-site support at customer facilities may be required, along with limited off- hours availability for releases, outages, and critical incidents.
