• 2x Positions – Part-time (0.2 FTE) and fixed-term for 3 years
• Level C $149,230 - $171,602 + 17% Superannuation

Join a leading rural medical education program and help shape future doctors where they are needed most. This role requires candidates to be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Hamilton–Portland or Colac–Camperdown regions one day per week (0.20FTE) and travel regularly throughout South-West Victoria.

This role contributes to innovative teaching, curriculum enhancement and student success through clinical, community‑based and learner‑centred education.

What you'll do in this role:

• Deliver effective teaching within Deakin Medical School – Rural Communities through bedside tuition, face‑to‑face teaching and online learning activities.
• Apply clinical, industry and research expertise to support student learning, engagement, success and resource development.
• Collaborate with teaching teams to develop and refine curriculum, clinical education experiences and learning resources.
• Contribute to the review and continuous improvement of units and courses to enhance educational outcomes.
• Support innovative curriculum design and learner‑centred, research‑informed teaching practices in partnership with Unit Chairs.

Qualifications

• A PhD or equivalent qualification (such as Fellowship of a relevant College) in a relevant discipline.
• A medical degree and current registration with AHPRA.
• FRACGP or FACRRM, or be close to sitting the relevant Fellowship examination.
• A strong record of scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs, including innovative and effective pedagogical approaches.
• Demonstrated experience leading curriculum development and educational enhancement initiatives.
• Experience mentoring or supporting colleagues to improve teaching practice.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
