Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Deaconess, you will:

• Evaluate and assess patients referred by physicians to design individualized treatment plans that address the patients’ physical needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to various diagnoses, ensuring meticulous adherence to the physician's plan of care.
• Provide thorough instruction and support during therapy sessions, enhancing patients’ understanding of their conditions and the importance of adherence to treatment.
• Actively participate in ongoing education and training sessions with staff to refine best practices and improve patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and changes in treatment plans accordingly, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for patients and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will encompass a diverse array of patients, including those seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports-related injuries. This variety will allow you to utilize a broad spectrum of treatment modalities and techniques, thereby enriching your professional experience and enhancing the care delivered to our community.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee
• Two years of post-education clinical experience in a physical therapy setting
• Current CPR certification
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Competency with word processing and basic computer applications
• Ability to build rapport with patients, ensuring that they feel valued and understood

Preferred Experience

Recent experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment, or specialization in diverse areas such as sports medicine or pediatrics, will be an advantage. Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic technologies and practices is also desirable, as is a demonstrated commitment to professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary range is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package including:
