Role Description The Landscape Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Westfield, IN. This position involves designing projects to achieve project goals, assessing site conditions, and developing creative project plans that align with budget and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed design plans and renderings, selecting plants and materials, coordinating hardscape elements, and collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate implementation. The role also includes updating project documentation, revising plans based on client feedback, and supporting project estimates and proposals. The Landscape Designer works closely with both the sales and production team members to maintain quality standards, safety practices, and consistent communication throughout each project.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Design and Landscaping to create functional, attractive outdoor spaces.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Hardscape design to plan features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living areas.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Architecture fundamentals, including site planning, grading awareness, and basic drainage considerations.
  • Proficiency with design software (e.g., CAD, draftsight, or landscape design tools) and ability to read and create scaled drawings.
  • Strong visual communication skills, including the ability to present concepts clearly to clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in residential or commercial landscape design; formal education in landscape design, horticulture, or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regional plants, materials, and installation practices, along with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
