For more than a century, Dante has been a place where exceptional food, timeless cocktails, and genuine hospitality come together. As we open our newest location on Elizabeth Street in Nolita, we're seeking a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team.

Working alongside the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef will help lead daily kitchen operations while fostering a culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous growth.

We're looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in developing others, and is passionate about delivering consistently exceptional food and memorable guest experiences.

• Lead and support daily kitchen operations with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop line cooks and junior team members through hands-on leadership.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across every service.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, food safety, and sanitation.
• Assist with ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and labor controls.
• Support menu implementation, recipe execution, and seasonal changes.
• Collaborate with the culinary leadership team to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture.

• 2–4 years of leadership experience in a high-volume, chef-driven, or fine dining restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and culinary technique.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• A hands-on leader who leads by example and remains composed under pressure.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous learning.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• NYC Food Protection Certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
