Le Developpeur de produits sera responsable du developpement, de l'implantation, du lancement et du post-lancement des projets sous sa responsabilite (renovation, innovation et/ou cout/qualite des projets), assurant l'excellence dans l'execution. Ce poste implique la mise en uvre de tests pilotes, d'analyses quantitatives et le pilotage ainsi que la coordination des tests industriels en production afin d'assister les lancements et la gestion de projets. Le candidat choisi doit etre en mesure de representer l'interet de la R&I dans les differents projets de la compagnie.

Responsabilites cles :

• Definir le plan de developpement des nouveaux produits en fonction des objectifs, des couts et des delais fixes dans le brief du projet;
• Collaborer etroitement avec le Marketing pour generer l'innovation au sein de sa categorie;
• Gerer des projets en fonction des besoins specifiques et selon la methodologie definie par Danone;
• Agir en tant que representant de la R&I dans chaque projet, assurer un suivi des projets avec les outils de la R&I;
• Developper des formules et des procedes en tenant compte des exigences des autres fonctions, telles que les Affaires reglementaires, la Qualite, la production, etc.;
• Elaborer et executer des essais pilotes, organiser des sessions de degustation avec le Marketing et definir des conclusions et des recommandations pour les etapes suivantes;
• Realiser l'industrialisation des nouveaux produits avec l'ingenierie et les departements de production.

La fourchette de salaire annuel de base pour ce poste est de 72,000 $ a 100,000 $CA. Le salaire final offert sera determine en fonction de facteurs tels que l'experience pertinente et les qualifications, l'equite interne et les conditions du marche externe.

• Baccalaureat en sciences des aliments ou dans un domaine connexe. Maitrise, un atout.
• Trois a dix ans d'experience en developpement de produit alimentaire.
• Bonnes competences en gestion de projets et outils informatiques.
• Capacite a rencontrer des delais serres et a travailler sous pression.
• Habilete a travailler de maniere interfonctionnelle.
• Experience dans la formulation des produits vegetaux et laitiers, un atout important.
• Experience de travail du laboratoire au pilote et/ou jusqu'a la production industrielle.
• Flexibilite pour voyager (10-20%, Canada et USA).
• Experience en gestion de personnel, un atout.
• Le bilinguisme est requis pour ce poste, puisque celui-ci exige des communications frequentes avec nos unites d'affaires, usines et partenaires d'affaires qui se situent a l'exterieur du Quebec.

The Product Developer will be responsible for developing, implementing, launching and post-launch of the projects under his/her responsibility (renovation, innovation and / or cost / quality of projects), ensuring excellence in execution. This position involves the implementation of pilot tests, quantitative analysis and monitoring as well as the coordination of industrial production tests in order to manage and support project launches. The chosen candidate must be able to represent the interest of R&I in the various projects of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Define the development plan for new products according to the objectives, costs and deadlines set in the project brief;
• Collaborate closely with Marketing to generate innovation within its category;
• Manage projects according to specific needs and as per the methodology defined by Danone;
• Act as the R&I representative within each project team and ensure project follow-up using R&I tools;
• Develop formulas and processes taking into account the requirements of other functions, such as Regulatory Affairs, Quality, production, etc.;
• Design and execute pilot tests, organize tasting sessions with Marketing and draw conclusions and recommendations for the next steps;
• Industrialize new products with collaboration of engineering and production departments.

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 to $100,000 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.

• Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field. Master, an asset.
• Three to ten years of experience in food product development.
• Good skills in project management and IT tools.
• Ability to meet tight timeline and work under pressure.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience in plant-based and dairy products, an asset.
• Experience of manufacturing scale up (bench scale to pilot scale and full manufacturing).
• Experience in personnel management, an asset.
• Flexibility to travel in US-Canada (10-20%).
• Bilingualism required French and English (written and spoken). Bilingualism is required for this position, as it involves frequent communication with our business units, plants, and business partners located outside Quebec.
