Daniel Defense engineers and manufactures the world's finest weapon systems and accessories. Our mission, Honor God. Defend Freedom, is accomplished by serving customers and providing top-quality solutions to our military, law enforcement, and civilian customers seeking premium firearms for home defense, hunting, and sport shooting.
As an Armorer 1, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below. This entry-level position focuses on assembling and inspecting firearms to Daniel Defense's rigorous quality standards. Armorer 1 is also the foundation for advancement into the Range Lead track.
Essential Functions:
- Play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards and operational integrity of our firearms production.
- Conduct thorough inspections of upper and lower receivers for any manufacturing or cosmetic defects.
- Perform Assembly Quality checks strictly following Daniel Defense standards.
- Assemble DD-specific firearms in accordance with Daniel Defense standards.
- Read, comprehend, and complete work orders and instructions. Adhere to all applicable operator work instructions, SOPs, and quality and safety procedures.
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
- Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
- Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
- High school diploma or GED required; 2-3 years of firearms experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a level of manual dexterity to perform all job functions.
- Ability to perform as part of a team and to cooperate and work proactively with others.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new job requirements.
- Great attention to detail and excellent recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines and pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and workin accordance withour Company Values.
- It is understood employees may be assigned to other departments, functional groups, and/or shifts asdeemednecessary by management.
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking,sittingand bending throughout thework day.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wearappropriate PersonalProtection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
