What You'll Do

L

ead mechanical/HVAC design for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and/or industrial projects from concept through construction administration

P

erform and oversee load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping design, and energy modeling

E

nsure designs meet California Title 24, ASHRAE standards, and applicable building codes

R

eview and stamp drawings and calculations as the engineer of record

C

ollaborate directly with architects, contractors, and clients - often as the primary technical point of contact

M

entor and develop junior engineers and designers, reviewing their work and helping them grow toward licensure

C

ontribute to proposals, client relationships, and business development as your role expands

H

elp shape internal standards, tools, and processes - your ideas carry real weight here

What You Bring

A

ctive California PE license (Mechanical)

5

-10 years of HVAC design experience in a consulting engineering environment

P

roficiency with Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or equivalent load/energy modeling software

S

trong working knowledge of Title 24 energy compliance and ASHRAE 90.1/62.1

E

xperience with Revit/AutoCAD MEP; BIM coordination experience a plus

A

track record of mentoring or a genuine interest in developing others

E

xcellent communication skills - you can explain a design decision to a client as clearly as to a junior engineer
