The Automotive Technician/Automotive Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining vehicle performance and safety. Working independently, this role involves diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems to ensure optimal operation. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the technician will execute a range of repair and maintenance tasks while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repair and diagnostics
• Conduct brake maintenance and servicing
• Service and repair vehicle transmissions
• Diagnose and resolve electrical system issues
• Carry out preventive maintenance procedures
• Inspect vehicles to assess condition and identify problems

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in automotive repair
• Expertise in engine diagnostics
• Strong knowledge of brake systems
• Proficient in electrical system troubleshooting
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Good time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

We have been in business for 20 years at the same highly visible location with a lot of traffic. The working owners have been in the Reno/Sparks market for most of their lives. We have a large 6000 square foot facilty with 8 bays and 4 technicians. We offer many paid days off with paid holiday after 1 year. We are a busy shop and the potential to make a very good wage is there for moitvated technicians. We supply tech gloves, uniforms, and technical classes. We are open M-F 8:00am-5:00pm.
