Job Summary:
The Kitchen Helper assists the cook and kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in a fast-paced environment, and follows food safety and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cooks with preparing and portioning food.
• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients.
• Help prepare seafood, vegetables, sauces, and side dishes.
• Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and floors clean.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Stock food and kitchen supplies.
• Help with receiving and properly storing deliveries.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist the cook during busy periods.
• Take out trash and maintain a clean kitchen.
• Follow instructions from the cook and manager.
• Perform other kitchen duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene and follow food safety practices.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
