Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly, providing more frequent access to their funds. Part-time store associates are paid a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays. As a Fresh Cut Lead, you'll guide a team of fresh cut produce associates to ensure the highest standards in fresh, ready-to-enjoy fruits and vegetables. You'll oversee inventory, maintain department standards, and create a seamless shopping experience for guests.
External Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do:- Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it's a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you'll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
- Support & Train the Team: Lead, coach, and train fresh cut produce associates to ensure high performance and exceptional service.
- Maintain Fresh Inventory: Monitor stock levels, track shrink, and ensure accurate pricing.
- Oversee Department Standards: Ensure quality, food safety, and cleanliness are consistently met.
- Engage with Guests: Assist with product selection, take special orders, and resolve concerns.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with store leadership and vendors to keep the Fresh Cut department running smoothly.
- Keep the Department Organized: Maintain a clean and efficient workspace to support productivity.
- Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Support the Team: Other duties as assigned
- High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Experience in stocking, retail sales associate, or produce associate roles.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Understanding of on-the-job safety, food safety and sanitation best practices.
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
- The associate must have full range of upper body motion in order to lift product. Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
- The position requires the associate to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
