Summary
The Non‐CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to transport goods. This role supports daily operations by ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (under 26,000 lbs GVWR).
- Load and unload products, materials, or equipment as needed.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to complete deliveries or pickups on time.
- Verify shipment contents and obtain necessary signatures or delivery confirmations.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic close out of stops
- Inspect vehicle before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide professional, courteous service to customers and team members.
- Assist with warehouse, inventory, or general labor duties when needed.
Requirements
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use GPS navigation and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a delivery driver, courier, or similar role.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Experience using delivery or route‐management apps (optional).
Work Environment
- Frequent driving in various weather conditions.
- May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Use of warehouse equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or hand trucks (if applicable).
