Intermediate level Electrical Engineer | Commercial, Residential and Educational projects
Client :

Job Description:
Immediate need for an experienced Intermediate-level Electrical Engineer with a proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of electrical and power distribution systems as well as electrical engineering fundamentals, particularly within the commercial, residential, and educational sectors. In-office work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and telecommunications plans including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams and specifications
  • Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required to support electrical design
  • Prepare electrical construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings
  • Work closely with the client and other design team members, including owners, architects, and contractors
  • Selection and specification of appropriate equipment
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in designing Electrical Systems for building projects with AE or MEP consulting firms
  • Proven experience designing lighting, power distribution, wiring, fire alarm, security, and communication systems
  • Proven experience in design and construction administration for residential and mixed-use projects, K-12 schools, commercial interiors, laboratories, higher education, and electrification.
  • EIT required.
  • PE license is desired but not required.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills
  • Strong understanding of the NEC, local, state and International Building Codes
  • Ability to multi-task with multiple projects to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
