Job description

THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION

  • Base Wage: $20-$26/hourly
  • Prevailing Wage Opportunities (up to $80 hourly)
  • Daily Per diem paid on all non-prevailing wage projects
    • 1 Week trip- $25.00 per diem daily
    • 2 Week trip- $40.00 per diem daily
  • Crew lodging paid for by FSG
  • Employees must be willing to travel by airline
  • Work/Travel Schedule: Traveling requirements for up to 10 days (2 paid travel days + 8 working days) and 4 days off.
  • Rotation of work shift is possible, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on the requirements of the current scheduled project. Most of the work will be on the 1st or 2nd shift work schedule. 3rd shift is rare but could be required at times.

As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for installing lighting products safely and neatly in customer facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professional customer service and have a vast knowledge of lighting retrofit strategies. Technicians must have strong communication skills, team-oriented goals, and a positive attitude.


  • Comply with FSG safety policies.
  • Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballast, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems.
  • Work cohesive with crew and crew foreman, understanding task provided.
  • Work in a safe manner so as not to damage or disturb customer facilities.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or roofs to install. Maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process.
  • Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  • At least 1+ years of lighting or electrical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license • Willingness to travel
  • Must be reliable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive customer service skills
