Job description

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Epidemiology to join our growing Epidemiology team and help us manage our real-world data and real-world evidence generation needs across clinical programs.

In this role as the Senior Manager, Epidemiology will be part of a team that leads real-world data (RWD) analytic activities in support of new drug development and/or for marketed drugs. The Senior Manager, Epidemiology will work with the Lead Epidemiologist on the study team, who will be responsible for the design, conduct, statistical analysis, and reporting of epidemiologic research studies of assigned Graticule solutions.

JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Develop and author protocols and statistical analysis plans, including study design, protocol/SAP writing, and literature reviews.

  • Provide support with review of the analyses, and results interpretation.

  • Contribute to the writing of the deliverables such as study reports and client-ready slide decks.

  • Together with the Lead Epidemiologist, guides the project team in using the most efficient or innovative study design by considering the current and evolving trends within the industry and business drivers.

  • Demonstrate high-level proficiency for RWD analytics, while providing support for real-world database activities.

  • Research statistical/analytical methodologies and addresses specific questions across the value chain by working effectively with the customers/stakeholders.

  • Support the statistical analysis of Graticule solutions as needed.

 

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE


  • Masterโ€™s degree or PhD (ScD or DrPH) degree in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Statistics/Biostatistics, or related field.

  • 2 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. 

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, either on the Sponsor side or CRO, is required.

  • Expert knowledge of observational study designs, strengths, and limitations, and designing fit-for-purpose studies

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with secondary data sources including registries, EMR and claims.

  • Strong technical grasp of claims and EHR databases.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work as a team.

  • Excellent project management skills.
