Job description

Description
Anticipated Start Date: September 2, 2026.
The nursing department is seeking a detail-oriented student worker to assist in preparations for nursing laboratory and simulation experiences. This position supports the nursing professor in preparing for in-person laboratory and clinical simulation experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Support and Model the policies and standards of Crown College as stated in the Student Handbook and Crown Community Covenant.
  • Evidence of Christian character and a commitment to encourage others toward Christ-likeness.
  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Must be in good standing with the college.
  • Previous experience with administrative work preferred.
Responsibilities - Provide a detailed list of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Set up laboratory equipment in the nursing lab.
  • Set up simulators, with the professor's help, for simulation experiences.
  • Make copies of student materials for lab experiences.
  • Support maintaining and cleaning the learning environment prior to and after the laboratory/simulation experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including email and word processing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor, including appropriate appearance and conduct in the workplace.
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines in all work areas.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 25 lbs. for extended periods.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to move about campus and within work areas as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 4 pounds.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions as part of regular tasks.
  • Ability to operate necessary equipment or tools safely in assigned work areas.
