    Description
    Mortgage Lender works with customer to help with home loans /mortgages, construction loans, home equity lines of credit, consumer loans and other banking products. Guiding customer through the process to make it an easier transition.
    Major Duties:
    • Provides guidance through the home-buying process from application to closing for residential mortgage loans, construction loans, home equity lines of credit, and consumer loans.
    • Form relationships with individuals in the real estate community and generate prospective client leads.
    • Underwrite and make credit decisions according to secondary market standards and Bank policies.
    • Adhere to Bank lending policies/procedures and federal lending regulations.
    • Understand and be able to explain the features and benefits of other Bank products and services for cross-sell opportunities.
    • Represent the Bank at loan closings, public functions, meetings, and community events.

    Requirements
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage lending experience.
    • College degree or advanced education preferred but not required.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
    • Understanding and experience of mortgage lending.
    • Familiarity with secondary market requirements.
    • Experience with banking software and other technology applications.
    • Strong communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and work within a team environment.
    • Familiarity with lending compliance rules, regulations, and timelines.

    Physical Qualifications:
    • Be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
