Position Overview

Crossroad Behavioral Health Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. In this full-time position, you will provide essential counseling services to individuals affected by substance use disorders, guiding them through their recovery journey. This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Work Environment

This remote position offers flexibility while ensuring you remain connected with a collaborative team of professionals. Our hospice center's clinical environment focuses on building a supportive and therapeutic atmosphere where both staff and clients feel valued and engaged. You will work under the guidance of the Clinical Director and Executive Director to maintain this environment, utilizing innovative counseling techniques to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to determine the counseling needs and substance abuse diagnosis of clients using DSM criteria.
  • Preparing and implementing individualized substance abuse counseling portions of client treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Developing comprehensive discharge plans and continuum of care strategies to facilitate smooth transitions to subsequent levels of care as needed.
  • Documenting all counseling services, assessments, and follow-ups meticulously in the client's clinical record to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
  • Maintaining an active client caseload, which includes case management tasks and utilization reviews, alongside treatment planning and clinical charting obligations.
  • Coordinating support services for clients and their families, recording the services delivered and facilitating contact with external referral sources such as legal, educational, and employment institutions.
  • Addressing crisis-oriented issues through intervention and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive support for assigned clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals battling substance use disorders, many of whom may also face co-occurring mental health challenges. You will play a pivotal role in their recovery by providing compassionate, tailored counseling services in individual and group settings, fostering an environment conducive to healing and growth.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Arizona.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Exceptional therapeutic boundaries, cultural competence, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to handle paperwork and client care responsibilities.
Preferred Experience

While experience working with substance use disorders is essential, candidates who have past involvement with diverse populations and varied therapeutic modalities will stand out. Familiarity with DSM and ASAM criteria for substance use assessments is desired, as well as a proactive approach to developing treatment plans and crisis interventions.
