This role is responsible for shaping the creative vision, narrative, and guest experience across multiple attractions and lands. The Creative Director works in close collaboration with IP stakeholders, narrative teams, and cross-disciplinary design and production teams to ensure creative alignment and excellence from concept through execution.

Essential Functions:

1.    Creative Vision & Storytelling

•    Lead the development of attraction narratives in collaboration with IP holders and internal narrative teams.

•    Ensure all story elements align with brand guidelines and deliver compelling guest experiences.

•    Guide the integration of IP into all aspects of the attraction from concept through execution.

•    Maintain awareness of all creative assets and current design issues across assigned lands and attractions.

2.    Visual Development & Art Direction

•    Oversee the creation of storyboards, mood boards, key art, and narrative documents to establish the creative vision.

•    Approve early-phase visual deliverables to ensure alignment with the intended look and feel.

•    Collaborate with illustrators and concept artists to define the visual tone of each attraction or land.

•    Guide the creative development of marquee and interior signage to support storytelling and guest navigation.

3.    Attraction & Experience Design Oversight

•    Provide creative leadership across all phases of attraction development, including queue, preshow, load/unload, main show, and ride systems.

•    Assign and manage designers to ensure alignment with the overall creative strategy.

•    Review and redline design packages to maintain creative consistency and quality.

•    Participate in “Page Turn” coordination meetings to ensure cross-disciplinary alignment.

•    Review and respond to feedback from internal and external stakeholders (e.g., CRS, ACC).

4.    Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration & Leadership

•    Collaborate with Unreal Engine teams to define the visual quality and creative direction of digital assets across attractions, retail, F&B, and entertainment.

•    Review BIM/Revit models with the BIM team to ensure creative intent is maintained throughout facility design.

•    Partner with Project Managers to define team roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.

•    Participate in daily check-ins with Art Directors, Facility Design Managers, and Project Managers.

•    Provide mentorship and direction to junior creatives and designers.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

•    10+ years of experience in themed entertainment, attraction design, or related creative industries.

•    Proven track record of leading creative development for large-scale themed environments or attractions.

•    Strong storytelling skills and experience working with IP and narrative teams.

•    Proficiency in visual development tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Unreal Engine, Bluebeam).

•    Familiarity with BIM/Revit and attraction facility design processes.

•    Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

•    Ability to manage multiple creative workstreams and maintain alignment across disciplines.
