Job description

iOS Engineer

The iOS Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality native iOS applications for enterprise and consumer use cases. This role owns the full iOS development lifecycle—from architecture and implementation to security, packaging, and release readiness—while collaborating closely with product, design, backend, and security teams. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ownership, a focus on quality and security, and experience delivering production-grade iOS applications in regulated or large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • iOS Application Development
  • Design and build native iOS applications using modern Apple frameworks and best practices.
  • Translate product requirements and designs into scalable, maintainable mobile solutions.
  • Implement clean architectures that support long-term extensibility and performance.
  • Platform & Security Ownership
  • Own iOS-specific security and compliance requirements, including:
  • Secure credential storage (Keychain)
  • App sandboxing and platform security controls
  • Secure handling of user data and authentication flows
  • Ensure adherence to Apple platform policies and internal security standards.
  • App Packaging & Release
  • Manage the iOS build, signing, and release lifecycle, including:
  • Xcode archiving, validation, and App Store Connect uploads
  • Managing certificates, provisioning profiles, and versioning
  • Ensure compatibility with required iOS SDK and tooling versions
  • Implement App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and privacy disclosures when applicable.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive mobile experiences.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams while maintaining clear ownership of the iOS application layer.
  • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Quality & Maintainability
  • Write well-structured, testable, and performant code.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance, stability, and usability issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience developing native iOS applications in a production environment.
  • Proficiency with Swift, Xcode, and the iOS SDK.
  • Experience with secure mobile app development, including authentication and data protection.
  • Hands-on experience with iOS app packaging, signing, and distribution.
  • Ability to work independently with clear ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building enterprise or internal-facing mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with API-driven architectures and backend integrations.
  • Experience working in security- or compliance-sensitive environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills across product, design, and engineering teams.
