KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Nighttime Welcome Wagon: Greet guests with warmth and efficiency during the overnight shift (11 PM - 7 AM). Handle check-ins, reservations, and those quirky late-night questions like a pro.
  • Master of Midnight Math: Own the Night Audit! Balance the books, finalize transactions, and make sure every number is in its perfect place. Detail lovers, this is your time to shine.
  • Guardian of the Glow-Up: Keep the property safe and sound with regular security walks. You're the calm, watchful presence that helps guests sleep easy.
  • The Nightly Newsroom: Create daily reports and the Daily Flash Report to give management the inside scoop on what went down while the world was sleeping.
  • Teamwork After Twilight: Work hand-in-hand with other departments to keep operations smooth and service top-notch-even in the wee hours.
  • Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: If you're fluent in Windows, spreadsheets, and word docs-and you've got a knack for solving problems solo-you'll fit right in.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework beneficial.
  • 1 year in a hotel or related field. Supervisory experience is a plus.

PROPERTY INFORMATION:
Within walking distance of the Toyota Center and House of Blues, Courtyard Houston Downtown Convention Center offers accommodations with complimentary WiFi access and close proximity to the Metrorail line. The rooms at the Courtyard Houston Downtown Convention Center have 11 feet high ceilings. They also include a flat-panel TV with cable channels, small refrigerators and tea and coffee-making facilities. The Courtyard Houston has a modern gym with cardiovascular equipment, free weights and treadmills. Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner options as well as a full bar at the Bistro, or purchase food items at the 24-hour Courtyard Market. An on-site Starbucks Cafe is also available. The Courtyard Houston Downtown is within 8 minutes' drive of Minute Maid Park and BBVA Compass Stadium and 7.1 mi from NRG Stadium.
